About Me

Back when I was 6 years old, I was an only child enrolled in Catholic school. Our school was small, and we shared buses with other schools. I rode the bus for the first time and my eyes were wide open as sat there and watched the older kids misbehave. I thought quietly, "What are these kids doing? What are these kids saying? Hey, that was a bad word!" I rode the bus for several years and my bus driver got such a kick out of my small frame and big brown eyes silently observing. He nicknamed me “Bug-eyed Lindsay”.

Today, I believe this nickname still suits me. I have grown up to be a keen observer of my surroundings and the people around me.

This blog marks the start of a new chapter in my life, one that I am very excited and nervous about. I moved to Texas a few years ago to start my design career and during that time I got engaged. I had a wonderful start in Texas; made lots of friends, found lots to do and learned a lot about architecture. That is until the economic downturn mixed up my well planned life.

The only thing constant in life is change, therefore, I am currently unemployed and unengaged. After thinking long and hard about my next plan of action, I decided to pack my bags and head back home.

Home is New Orleans, LA and this is my journey.

My Goal:

To build a sense of community, inspire, create, and improve quality of life for myself and others.

My Objectives:

Network - I plan to sit down with 100 people within the first three months. I’ll start with 50 people and ask those 50 people to refer 50 more.

Socialize – I want to keep busy with festivals, restaurants, pubs and galleries on the cheap.

Plant My Roots – I want to buy a house, love a dog and feel at home.

Stay Creative – I want to stay productive in art with at least one piece per week and continue to cook.

Bond – I want to act or volunteer for a theatrical production.

Earn an Honest Living – I want to put my passion and creativity to work for a great company or on my own.
